Doodlebug Design: Easter Parade Goodies

Hi Everyone!  Today I have some adorable treat boxes I created for Doodlebug Design using the new Easter Parade Collection.  I made these for a couple of friends, but they could also be used as place cards for your Easter table!  Take a peek...

The box itself is a Lori Whitlock File I got from the Silhouette store here.  I cut the body of the box from some Doodlebug Cardstock, then created some insets using some of the fun Easter parade papers.  My favorite parts are the Bunny and Friends critters and eggs!!!  They're just so stinkin' cute!  I used some of the word stickers from the This and That Sticker sheet to label the eggs, but you could use some Teensy Type stickers to put names on them to use the boxes as festive place cards!  Here are some close-ups...

Here is the side view, the boxes are filled with some Easter grass and a couple of chocolates!

The tops are just "tied" together with a piece of scrap ribbon.

These went together really quickly and would be an easy project to mass produce for family & friends!  Well, that's all for me today.  Make sure to stop by the Doodlebug Blog and check out all of the Easter Parade inspiration from the design team!  Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Issues: NYC Selfies

Hi Everyone, I have a fun layout today created for the current issue at Paper Issues, "Hip to Be Square," sponsored by A Flair for Buttons.  In keeping with the theme, I used square photos...take a peek:

These silly pics are from a recent trip to NYC for a gymnastics competition.  My daughter and I couldn't resist a few selfies.  I used a combination of Scattered Sprinkles and Daily Chevies from Bella Blvd. to create this layout.  I also used some Bella Decorative Tapes to create my cityscape.

Here are some more close-ups...

There is still time to link up your projects to this issue to win a fun prize pack from A Flair for buttons.  You have until midnight Sunday to play along!  That's it for me today, I'll be back tomorrow with some fun Easter-themed treats I created for Doodlebug Design!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tiny Tots Mini Album

Hi Everyone!  Today I have a fun mini album that I created for a coworker of my husband.  She and her husband just had their first baby (a boy!!) , so I made them a little mini album to celebrate his first year!  Here's the cover, I used Bella Blvd.'s Tiny Tots for the entire album...it was the perfect collection for this type of project!  The patterns, the stickers and the die cuts are all so cute!

I created a Silhouette Cut file to make Polaroid pockets.  I stitched the sides and the bottom, leaving the top open, so that they can just slide a 4"x 5" photo from the top.  I made a sleeve for each month and added a tag to journal the special moments and milestones!  I tried to keep it simple, knowing how hectic it can be with a new baby in the house!

Take a peek at the remaining pages...

I can't wait to give it to the new parents!  And I also would like to share the Polaroid Album cut files I created.  The green file below is perfect if you're using plain cardstock for your album.  You only need to fold along the score line and stitch or glue up the sides.  The blue file on the right is made for patterned papers, so that you can create the sleeve with the pattern going the proper way on both the front and back.  Just stitch or glue the sides and bottom edge.  I then punched a hole in the top left corner to allow for a binding ring.

You can access the file here.  That's it for me today, thanks for stopping by!

Toni From Designs: Coffee Love

Hi Everyone!  The DT over at Toni From Designs is showcasing some fun flair today!  Here's the layout I created using flair from the Coffee Lovers and Oh Christmas Tree flair sets and some goodies from Bella Blvd!

My husband and I took the teens to Newbury Street in Boston to walk around and shop after New Years.  It was cold so we headed to the closest café to warm up while the girls shopped and we were served this gorgeous creation.  It was almost too pretty to drink...almost....

I used some pink, black and gray papers from Bella's Scattered Sprinkles collection as well as some Bella Crocheted hearts.  The giant Polaroid frame is from Lori Whitlock...I just made it jumbo to highlight my extreme love of all things coffee!!

That's it for me today!  Make sure to stop by Toni's Blog to check out the other creations from the team!  Thanks for stopping by!

Lori Whitlock: Working with Silhouette Glitter Heat Transfer

Hi Everyone!  Today I'm up on Lori Whitlock's Blog with a tutorial on how to use Silhouette's Glitter Heat Transfer.  I used it to create this fun pillow for a sweet friend!  (Houndtooth is her "thing"!!)

I stitched together the pillow cover using a tutorial I found on You Tube (here).  It was really easy to put together.  I then used some Hot Pink, Red, and White Silver Glitter Heat Transfer to embellish my cover.

Head over to the Lori Whitlock Blog to get the full tutorial!  It was a fun & easy project to create!  That's all for me today, thanks for stopping by!!

Doodlebug Design: Hello Sunshine Layout

Hi Everyone!  I have a fun layout featuring Doodlebug's new Hello Sunshine collection today!  I think this is one of my all-time favorites!  The Kraft mixed with Doodlebug brights is my FAVORITE combination!  I wanted to show off all the fun colors, so I created a "rainbow" background.  Take a peek...

This is my daughter in Key West last summer.  Her name is Caroline, so of course we had to pose with the famous Caroline Street sign!  It's too bad she's so shy, right??

I think I used almost all of the flowers from the Icons Sticker Sheet...and I also mixed in some more from the new Spring Flowers Sprinkle Shapes & the Fun Flowers Doodlepops! I also am in love with the little bugs in the collection...again, only Doodlebug can make a bug cute!!!

I added a rainbow to my title as well using some Shin-Dig glitter alphas!

That's it for me today!  Make sure to stop by the Doodlebug Design Blog for more Design Team Inspiration! Thanks for stopping by!
